Imprisoned for self-defence – Satpal Ram (1986)

According to Satpal Ram, he and two friends visited a restaurant in November 1986. While there, an altercation broke out among Ram and his two friends and another group of six people also in the restaurant. The argument, which was initially over Asian music being played on the restaurant’s radio system, became a physical fight. Ram said that he stabbed one of the party of six, Clarke Pearce, in self-defense after Pearce attacked him with a broken bottle. Pearce was taken to hospital with knife wounds and later died. Consequently, Satpal Ram was arrested for murder and convicted in 1987.
Later debate and controversy arose among the British media when it was alleged that his barrister did not meet with him and only saw him for about forty minutes before the trial. The jury was claimed to have also missed vital evidence because no interpreter was provided to translate for a Bengali-speaking waiter who had been present at the incident. It is also alleged that the judge was to have said he would interpret but also that he couldn’t speak the Bengali language.
Artists such as Asian Dub Foundation have championed Ram’s cause.

Jaysus wept Alexander Baron, could you be even more of a cowardly, spineless racist? Why can’t you answer the man’s questions?
Let’s face facts. In a typical year in a contest between how many eyes Nick Griffin has and the number of people interested in what you have to say about the Holocaust, Nick Griffin comes out comfortably ahead every year. Yet here you are being given a platform to promote your laughably descredited views, yet you are too chicken to debate. No change from normal eh?

If you can’t handle a single proven allegation of murder by one sicko in 1986, you can’t handle a complex argument about events that happened over a period of years before either of us was born.
If you want to argue for Ram’s innocence you need first to get past the pathologist’s report that shows the victim was stabbed in the back. Then you have the two judgments from the Court Of Appeal. Good luck with that.
Incidentally, did you know your hero was recalled to prison the year after his parole and that he spent several more years there before being released with no fanfare? No, I thought not. Moron.

So you don’t want to answer the simple question of how many people were killed by the Nazis during the Holocaust? Why not? Is it because if you did anyone reading this would know you are a liar who distorts history for political purposes, therefore meaning nothing you say about Satpal Ram can be trusted? Why should anyone even trust the purported transcripts you host? You lie and distort history, who says they are accurate?

Should anyone wish to believe Alexander Baron, I suggest a little research. He’s a well-known Holocaust denier, so I’m sure he’s completely and totally unbiased when commenting on ethnic minorities…
