Did police plant evidence against Brian Parsons? (1988)
Brian Parsons was convicted in 1988 of the murder of Ivy Batten in Devon. The evidence against Brian was practically non-existent, and that which did exist was of very dubious provenance. Brian’s case was referred back to the court of appeal by the CCRC in 1998. The appeal was rejected in December 1999.

Just watched the UK’s senior forensic scientist on the BBC talking about her book and career. When asked if she had concerns about any case she said “i have concerns over the Brian Parsons case”!
